William Lea

LEAWilliam K., beloved husband of the late Ann (nee Williston) and Edith (nee) Hayes Lea; loving father of William J. Lea, Pat Long, Linda Schwartz, and Philip Lea; stepfather of Peggy Sexton, James Candler, Rebecca Smith, and Barbara McLemore, and cherished grandfather of many. Passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at the age of 95 years. He was born and raised in Kentucky, spending most of his young years near Falmouth, Morgan, and Berry Kentucky. He graduated from Morgan High School in 1938. William, known to his friends as "Bill", was an avid sports fan, loving "his" Cincinnati Reds, since the 1930's. He was still playing golf until age 90, and at 85, he got 2 Holes in One. He bowled on several leagues at Kramer's in Lockland. He retired from Lichtenberg & Sons Construction, formerly located in Lockland. Bill was a faithful member and Deacon of Lockland Christian Church for over 60 years. We celebrate his life and the legacy he leaves. His spirit will be felt for many years to come. Visitation will be held at Lockland Christian Church, at the corner of Mill Street and Patterson Avenue on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral service at 10:00 AM.
