Walter Cripe

WWIIARMYCRIPEWalter Benson "Ben" Cripe was born April 13, 1920 and passed away peacefully February 7, 2012 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana at the age of 91. Beloved husband of 65 years to the late Dolores (nee Lambers) Cripe; devoted father of Larry (Pat) Cripe and Nancy (the late John) Wing; cherished grandfather of Mike (Kyoko) Cripe, Jen (Jason) Traylor, Matt Cripe, and Vicky (Scott) Facemyre and great grandfather of 3; dear brother of Hilda "Dee" McKewen and the late Ray and Don Cripe; special friend of Lee Holdcraft. Ben served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Lawrenceburg American Legion Post 239, a life member of the VFW Paul Vail Post and a life member of the DAV. Ben along with his wife, Dolores, formed a Round Dance Club called The Bendoliers and taught dance.Visitation at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 48 W.
