Many lost their lives. Makes me realize how good I have had it.Married October 26, 1944 to Howard Luigi Pez. Just PEZ to anyone who knew him well except his mother who always called him Howard.Soon came 5 children, 1 girl and 4 boys: Ninanne, a combination of the twograndmothers names, Nina & Anne. Jay, Jim, Joe, and Jon. She could call all four of us in one sentence in about ten seconds. We came.Raised five children in "Downtown Sharonville". Two different houses.The family tree expanded: 19 GrandchildrenChristy, Doug, Devin, Darren, CarrieJerry, Heather, LacyJennifer, Jodie, Ashley, HayleyJosh, Jacquelyn, Jessica, JillianJake, Nick, JesseWe weren't finished. The tree expanded again: 19 Great GrandchildrenWill, Allie, Anna, Doug, Ryan, Benjamin, Helen, Kira, Emerson, Shilo, Jaron,Jaycie, Brendan, Bria, Laila, Rae Lynn, Jordyn, Carson, Ava.Through all the years there was always one constant, family. Mom stressed the importance and kept us in touch. Aunts, uncles, cousins together. We celebrated holidays together and shared happy times. We buried loved ones and shared pain, because that's what families do.At some point she became more than mom. She became my friend. We played cards together, went to Vegas and celebrated special days and birthdays at the race track. We had fun!Last Wednesday she was able to visit with most of her family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. It was a good farewell.Thursday she went to sleep in peace. Visitation at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 5:30-8:00 PM. Funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
