Vincent Salerno, a resident of Springdale, Ohio, died on September 20, 2022. His immediate family includes Nancy, his beloved spouse of 67 years, his three sons: Robert (deceased) and his wife Janice, Richard and his wife Alicia, Ronald, and his wife Lindy, as well as his eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Vincent was born in Italy and lived there with his mother and sister through World War II. In 1946, they emigrated to the United States to Join Vincent’s father in New York. He continued his education, earning a Bachelor and Master of Mechanical Engineering (BME + MME) degrees from City College of New York (CCNY). He also received a commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Reserves. Later, He earned an MBA degree from Pepperdine University. Vincent’s professional career of 60+ years was principally in engineering and construction of petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, and industrial manufacturing plants and facilities in the US and International locations. He advances to project management of world class facilities and to executive management of companies in the industry. Concurrently, he had 15 years of military duty in the US Army reserve. Vincent was a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), a Registered Projects Manager (PMP), and a Registered Management Consultant (CMC). He was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIIChE) and Project Management Institute (PMI). Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel Church, 48 West Sharon Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45246. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s or any veterans charity of choice.
