Vera Strom

STROM, Vera M. (nee Nelson) passed away peacefully on October 21, 2013 at the age of 91. Vera was born to Anna and Martin Nelson on December 17, 1921. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in San Francisco, California and attended business college. She was an employee of Columbia Steel. She was a singer and performed at many weddings and other events. In 1938 as a high school student, Vera performed on experimental TV. She was active in the Swedish community, a member of the Sveadal Club, Swedish Ladies Society and Utile Dulci. Vera is survived by her loving husband, Herbert Strom, devoted son, Robert (Sandy) Strom, grandchildren, Steve and Alison Strom, and sisters-in-law, Gloria Nelson and Lillian Walker. Services to be held at the convenience of the family.
