SKEEN, Theda Mae, age 98, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away Monday, June 14, 2021.
Born and raised in rural Kentucky, Mrs. Skeen spent over thirty years living in Cincinnati, Ohio raising her family with her husband, John, and her parents, Lela Mae and August Ballew. Theda then moved to Georgia in 1990 to be near family, although she left behind her sister, Ruth's family, her brother Johnny's family, and the Hart family- neighbors who became family. She enjoyed arts and crafts, ice cold Coke, homemade popcorn, and a good joke. Mrs. Skeen is preceded in death by her husband, John Fletcher Skeen and her daughter, Winnie Skeen.
Survivors include her two daughters, Cathy Baker of Hammond, LA and Debbie Helton of Kennesaw, GA; sister-in-Law, Vola Ballew of Hamilton, OH; nine grandchildren, Michele, Matthew, Holly, Amanda, Brittany, Benjamin, Marcy, Garrett, and Casey; 16 great grandchildren, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Landmark Church small chapel, 1600 Glendale-Milford Rd., Evendale, OH 45215 from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Theda Skeen's memory to the Alzheimer's Association
