Susan Estelle Copeland (Meyer), 72, died peacefully on September 17, 2014, in Cincinnati, OH, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband, David A. Copeland; daughter, Emilie Susan Copeland D'Agostino and Michael, daughter, Wendie Jane Jaymes (Copeland) and Dylan; grandchildren, Asa Jaymes, Emerson D'Agostino, Margo D'Agostino and Michaela Jaymes all of Cincinnati, OH; and sister, Sylvia Jane Slowensky (Meyer) and Joseph of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by several other family members and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John M. Meyer and Sylvia M. Meyer (Wilson) and by her newborn son, John David Copeland. Susan was born on October 15, 1941, in Pasadena, Texas. She graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in education. She married David, her high school sweetheart, with whom she celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2014. Always a savvy dresser, as a teen, she enjoyed modeling at the local department stores. She was voted the Queen of Hearts by the student body at Pasadena High School and "Most Beautiful" her senior year. Upon receiving her college degree, Susan entered the noble profession of teaching where she impacted the lives of many students. She played the French horn in the school marching band and was an accomplished pianist who later taught piano lessons out of her home. She will be remembered for her Southern charm, quick wit and delightful laugh. Her exemplary life will be celebrated in a memorial service on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at 11am at Friendship United Methodist Church, 1025 Springfield Pk., Wyoming, OH.
