Shirley Hogshead

HOGSHEAD, Shirley J. (nee Hempler). Beloved wife of the late James "Jim" Hogshead. Devoted mother of Carrie Hogshead and John (Rhonda) Hogshead. Loving grandmother of Grace Hogshead, Claire Hogshead, and Nathan Hogshead. Dear sister of Jody Knox and the late Marilyn McCormick. Preceded in death by her mother, Hilda (nee McDaniel) Hempler.

Shirley earned her bachelor's degree in education from Southern Illinois University and mainly taught in elementary schools. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Jim, and lived life to the fullest, spending time with her family and many friends.

Shirley passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at age 90.

Guests are invited to a Celebration of Shirley’s Life at Maple Knoll Village, Kensington Place - Building L, 11100 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246 on Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 2-4PM.
