Shirel Loomis

Shirel Loomis, 78, passed away on August 16, 2023.  Loving son of the late Margarite Loomis. Beloved husband of Karen Loomis. Loving father of Nikki (Greg) Nie and Jamie Loomis. Dear grandfather of Maya and Hannah Hubbard,  and Andrew Nie; step-father of Carissa (Casey) Bryant, Ryan Mitchell, and the late Jude Mitchell; step-grandfather of Mykella, Maura, Laney, Maggie, Riley, Max, Cheyenne, Chase, Keira, Olivia and Aubrey. Loving brother of Roy Loomis, Vicki Clary and the late Michael Loomis. He was a US Air Force Veteran and served on the Norwood Police Department for over 30 years. Family and friends may visit Sunday August 20, 2023 from 3:00 PM until time of service at 6:00 PM at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd, Norwood, Ohio 45212. In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions to Hospice of Blue Grass Care Navigators or the UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute.
