Sharon Benjamin

Sharon (Smith) Benjamin was called home to live with our Lord on Saturday, August 6, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with diabetes. Sharon was the loving wife of Tom for 44 years, Mother of Julie (John) Peter and Karen Beth (David) Peter, and the Cherished Grammie of Lilly, JT, Sullivan, Ryan and Murphy Peter. She was a lifelong resident of Norwood, and a valued, longtime employee at Norwood View Elementary. Sharon was admired and loved by many for her warmth and caring spirit, and will be missed greatly by all who were privileged to know her and honored to call her friend. A visitation and memorial service will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Road, Norwood, Ohio on Thursday, August 11, 2011. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM with the Memorial Service to follow at 5:15 PM. An Open House will be held at Terwilliger Lodge in Montgomery following the service. Donations in honor of Sharon's life are requested to be made in her name to the Amercian Diabetes Association.
