Shade Brown, Jr.

BROWN, Shade R., Jr. Age 94, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 10:32 pm.

Shade was a native of Barbourville, Kentucky and Norwood, Ohio before moving to Bardstown Kentucky. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved gardening and the University of Kentucky basketball. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 32 years.

Shade was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Brown; and his mother, Nancy Brown and father, Shade Brown, Sr. of Barbourville Kentucky. He leaves two daughters, Delores (Wade) Harris and Darlene (Steve) Henson. Darlene has two daughters, Shelly Henson, and Alicia Byrd; and one son, Bud Byrd. There are two great granddaughters, Brooklyn Bostick and Ashlyn Bostick; and two great grandsons, Kaleb Henson and Jayden Byrd. Delores by marriage has two sons, Bradley and Wendell Harris; and one daughter, Jill Napier. Five great grandsons, Jacob, Connor, Ben and Will Harris and Grayson Napier. Three great granddaughters, Lilli, Carolyn Napier, and Audrey Harris.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45212 from 9:30am until time of funeral service at 11:30am.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
