Sarah Nimeskern

NIMESKERNSarah Frances, age 95 passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving and supportive family. Sarah was the daughter of Karl and Sarah F. Weise. She was born in Circleville, Ohio on October 20, 1916. The family moved to Cincinnati where her father was a tailor and mother was a homemaker. Sarah was the oldest of four children; two brothers who died very young and one sister, the late Bessie Steve. Her parents passed away when Sarah was 13. She and her sister, Bessie were raised at the General Protestant Orphanage until Sarah turned 18 years of age. Sarah then met Aelred J. Nimeskern and the couple wed on August 12, 1936 and were married for 46 years. They were longtime residents of Cincinnati. Aelred predeceased Sarah.Sarah was a devoted and loving mother to Joanne Leimberger, Sarah F. Nimeskern, Elred B. Nimeskern, Margie Nimeskern, and the late Betty Ann (Theis) Fry. She was a cherished grandmother of 9, great grandmother of 22, and great-great grandmother of 21. Visitation at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Road, Norwood, Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 5:00-9:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of Drex Avenue and Montgomery Road on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
