Sara (Lindner) Ertel, passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 9, 2022 at the Maple Knoll retirement community. Sara resided most of her 102 years in Springdale and Glendale, Ohio.
Sara was born November 8, 1919, the 7th of 13 children to John Lindner and Edna May (Ellison) Lindner. One younger sister, Mary (Lindner) Knorr, survives. Sara married Dean Ertel on Sept 16th, 1939. They were married 62 years and had 3 sons; Michael, Gregory and Glenn; who along with her husband, have proceeded her in death. Sara has a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Ertel of Florida; several grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who loved her dearly.
Sara was a huge Cincinnati sports fan, an avid golfer, enjoyed many hours of volleyball and card playing with her friends at the Evandale Recreation Center. She attended Christ Church Glendale most of her life. She was a delightful, fun loving lady and will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246 on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 12noon until time of service at 1pm.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
