Ruby Malone

Early on Sunday morning, April 10th, Mrs. Ruby M. Malone made her way to Heaven.  Along with her family, the Springdale congregation and her friends at both Maple Knoll Village and Cottingham Retirement Community mourn the death of Ruby, a dear widow, herself, who loved God with every fiber of her being and was always ready, prepared, and eager to share her faith! Ruby also dearly loved her family, and she is survived by her daughter, Judy (Wes) West, four grandchildren: Jill Moats (Jimmy Yowell), Kendra Reese (David Lathrop), and Jae Lyn (David) Pickard, and Todd (Sheila) West, son-in-law Larry (Sharon) Grohowski, and many great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren.  Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John Edward Malone, and her daughter, Joycelyn Grohowski. After the death of her husband in 2000, Ruby continued to live in Doylestown, Ohio on the family property until finally relocating to Cincinnati and to Maple Knoll Village in 2005.  Very quickly, she established friendships and she made her way to Springdale Church of the Nazarene where she came to be loved for her smile, her uplifting personality, and her Christian testimony. Visitation will be at Springdale Church of the Nazarene, 11177 Springfield Pike, Springdale Ohio, 45246 on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 10 AM -11 AM.  A celebration of her life will take place at 11 AM in the Sanctuary.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Make A Wish America, 4742 North 24th Street, Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
