Roger N., high school sweetheart of Sally (nee Connolly) Hinkle, went to be with The Lord on March 26, 2014 at the age of 56. He is the father of Jake Hinkle, Pat Hinkle, and Kelly Hinkle; son of Dorel and the late Aileen Hinkle; brother of Donna Hinkle, Joyce (Charlie) Hull, and Jeff (Steff Winters) Hinkle; son-in-law of Anne Connolly; brother-in-law of Kathy (Dave) Feld, Winnie (Kenny) Varner, and Annie (James Smith) Connolly; uncle of Michael (Megan) Hull, David Hull, Julie Hull, Stevie Hull, Alex Hull, Katie Feld, Kristy Feld, Sarah (Brian) Haggeman, David (Amanda) Varner; great uncle of Cora Hull, Anna Haggeman, Lexi Varner, Carter Varner, Jadon, and Adaya. He was a retired United States Marine Corps Captain and an Aviation Captain for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department. Visitation will take place at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 3-6 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Trinity Church, 2420 Drex Ave., Norwood on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 10 AM. Interment will take place in Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mt. Healthy. There will be a reception in the church's undercroft immediately following services. Memorials may be made to The Shield, 7149 Ridge Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45237.
