Roberta Ohmer

Roberta Margaret Ohmer, devoted mother of seven children, died on January 30, 2018.

She was born on April 2, 1928 to Robert Rector and Margaret Libbee and was the second of four children. Her older sister Frances preceded her in death and her younger brother Bob and sister Margaret (Schwing) survive her.

On February 13, 1954, Mother married Charles Thomas Ohmer. During their nearly 60 years of marriage they were blessed by seven children: Susan Catherine, Charles Thomas, Jr., David Paul, John Stephen, Michael Gregory, Mark Robert and Richard James. Mother and Dad were very proud of their eight grandchildren--Julia, Evan, Price, Lexi, Rylan, Liliana, Chance and Keane--and two great-grandchildren, Reese and Ryan. Mother and Dad also welcomed into their family and into their hearts their daughters-in-law Lisa Nekic and Alina Zyakun, son-in-law Donald Crafton, and Don and Susan's children Andrew and Elise and grandchildren Alexandria, Declan and Gabriella. Mother inspired her children with her love of nature and unwavering support of education. We will miss her very much. Her family is also grateful for the enduring support of Mother's good friend Mary Calardo and for the encouragement of her sister-in-law Mary Mulloy, nieces Kelly Mulloy Myers and Erin Conlu, and goddaughter Michelle Lankford.

Visitation will be at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, OH. Saturday, Feburary 3, 2018 at 9:00 AM.
