Robert Head

Robert L. Head passed away on July 6, 2011 at the age of 74. Devoted husband of Stella M. Head for 54 years. Loving father of James Thomas (Sondra) Head, Larry Robert (Peggy) Head, and Lisa Carol (George) Nimmo. Cherished grandfather of Sarah (Tony) Stevens, Devon, Eric, Rachel, Robby, Ashley, and Karli Head, and Casey, Kelli, Daniel, and John Nimmo. Great grandfather of Callie, Landon, Jackson, Isabella, and Samantha Stevens. Also survived by his brother, Rev. James W. (Lorraine) Head and two nieces, Sheila Christian of Memphis, TN and Kathy (Mike) O'Bradovic and many other nieces, nephews, and loving in-laws. Employee of Procter & Gamble for 36 years. Member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Norwood, Ohio for 43 years. Former member of the Southern Gateway Chorus. Member of the Sycamore Community Band. Visitation at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, Friday, July 8. 2011 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Additional visitation at New Bethel Baptist Church, 2400 Norwood Ave., Norwood, Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Music Program at New Bethel Church.
