Robert A. Diehl

Robert Allen Diehl, age 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2024. He was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on January 8, 1949. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Winifred Diehl, and sister Beverly Frey. He graduated from Slatington High School and Dyke College in Cleveland, Ohio with a Business Degree. He married his wonderful wife Joanne of 50 years, on May 18, 1974. They moved to Springdale, Ohio in 1984 with their oldest daughter Melissa (Blair) Bennett, and proceeded to have three more girls; Aimee (David) Tallen, Allison, and Marci (Scott) Haungs. Robert, well known as Bob, "The Real Diehl" was also a loving grandfather to Fiona, Clayton, George, Rowan, Alice, and Louie.

Bob ran his own healthcare IT business for many years. He also was an active member in the Springdale community coaching his daughters in sports throughout their childhood, a member of Springdale Youth Boosters, member of the Springdale Council, member of SOS (Springdale Offering Support) and planning commission. In his free time, Bob loved sports, especially the Bengals, WHO-DEY! He also liked going to the movies and spending quality time with his family. Bob was kind, hard-working, and witty. Bob’s great personality will be forever missed. 

The family would like to invite everyone who loved Bob to his Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 1-3 PM. This will be an open house and will be held at the Springdale Recreation Center, 11999 Lawnview Ave., Springdale, OH 45246. Food and drinks will be provided. Hope to see everyone there.
