Robbie Richard Jordan, born April 12, 1971 to James V. Jordan, Jr. and Pearl L. Rogers Jordan. Robbie departed this earthly journey Saturday, March 18, 2017 at UC West Chester Hospital. Robbie was named for his grandfather, Robbie Rogers and uncle, Richard Cooper. Robbie was 9 months old when the family moved into the house at Bessinger Dr. in Forest Park, OH from the famous Lincoln Heights Valley Homes. Robbie began kindergarten at Winton Forest Elementary in 1976. He boarded the bus in front of the house everyday with Stephen Banks and Douglas "Dougie" Kirby. After kindergarten, he went back to his neighborhood school, Cameron Park. After elementary school Robbie attended Greenhills Middle in Greenhills, OH, Millersburg Military in Paris, KY then later graduated from Purcell Marion High School in 1990. He attended Shorter College in Little Rock; Saint Paul College in Lawrenceburg, VA; and the University of Arkansas in Pine Bluff.
Robbie enjoyed cooking, jogging, laughing, and dancing. He was baptized in 1978 at Saint Simon of Cyrene Episcopal Church in Lincoln Heights, OH. Rev James Mobley signed the baptisimal. Robbie worked at a restaurant mostly as a line cook. His favorites were Italian foods.
At the of 10 Robbie's dad gave him a break dancing tape and boxing gloves. He never let go of the expectation and dream of break dancing. One day his mother, Pearl picked up a copy of City Beat magazine to discover Robbie and Jarron Joiner dancing in full form.
Robbie & Zelma Rogers are his maternal grandparents. Eleanor Cooper Browder is his paternal grandmother. James V. Jordan, Sr. is his paternal grandfather.
Thanks to God for giving us Robbie, 45 years, 10 months, and 18 days. We will miss you Robbie.
