UNITED STATES ARMY KOREAN WAR VETERAN
DAUM, Richard Martin. Blue Ash resident. Age 87, died April 28, 2018 at Hospice of Cincinnati.
Mr. Daum was born August 29, 1930, in Wyandot , MI to the late Edwin and Irma Daum. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol; his 5 children Kurt, Dwight, Sally, Sandy and Dana; 6 grandchildren; and siblings, Ruth, Jean, and Donald. He is predeceased by his brother, Edwin.
Mr. Daum was a sergeant in the US Army and promoted to 2nd Lieutenant during the Korean War, then to 1st Lieutenant as part of an artillery unit. He is an U.S. EPA retiree and a former small business owner.
An 11 AM graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Rd., in Evendale, OH, 45241. A celebration of life will follow at the Blue Ash Civic League, 9306 Towne Square Ave., Blue Ash, OH 45242. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Legion Post 630, Wounded Warrior Project or Judicial Watch.
