Ray. Beloved husband of the late Anna Prus (née Mercurio) and the late Kathryn Rybinkski Prus. Loving father of Susan (Jim) Morris, Joseph (Thelma) Prus, Patricia (David) Kinder, Nancy (Steve) Wohlfrom, Mary (Leon) Coleman, and William (Amanda) Prus. Caring stepfather of five, cherished grandfather to John, Elizabeth, Sara, Michael, Katy, David, Kelly, Amy, Michael, Chris, Maureen, Sonja, Kevin, Scotty, Thomas, Julia, fifteen step-grand children and great-grandfather of thirty-one. Passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2014, age 89, surrounded by his loved ones. Ray was the past President and CEO of Ray Prus and Son, Inc., currently operating as Prus Construction Co. which was founded by his grandfather in 1888. Under his leadership the company performed sidewalk and curb improvement projects and installed countless driveways and patios for home owners throughout the region. His unparalleled work ethic laid the foundation for, what is now one of most recognizable highway construction firms in the Tri-State. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 5-8 PM at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd. Norwood. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 9:30 AM at Holy Trinity Church, Montgomery Road and Drex Avenue, Norwood, OH.
