Phyllis “Jane” Huber (nee Murphy), 85, of Springdale, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2017 at thehome of her son. She was born on June 29, 1932 to the late John K. Murphy and Elizabeth Jane (Lindner) Murphy. In 1954, she married Edward Huber Jr., who preceded her in death. A lifelong resident of Springdale, Jane attended Glendale School, graduating at the top of her class and the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing. She spent much of her working career at the City of Springdale, where following retirement, she served as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals. She was a member of Christ Church Glendale and enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing Scrabble, and crossword puzzles. Jane is survived by her son, Edward (Rhonda) Huber III; daughter, Sally (Kim) Welch; granddaughter, Carly Blomquist (Jake); three grandsons, John, Joshua (Jennifer) and Joseph Seurkamp; and ten great-grandchildren; Trey Seurkamp, Noah, Josiah, Providence, Eve, Joshua and Maybelle Seurkamp, Karson Justice and Dominic and Hailey Blomquist. Jane leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Jane was preceded in death by her only sibling, Paul R. Murphy. Keeping with Jane’s wishes there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at noon at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hamilton with Rev. David Pfaff officiating. A memorial service is scheduled on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Christ Church Glendale, 965 Forest Ave., Glendale, OH 45246 at 11:00 AM. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice of Cincinnati, Jane’s extended family at Christ Church Glendale, and her dear friends, Jeanne and Gerald Kalkbrenner for their support in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Christ Church Glendale, Hospice of Cincinnati, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
