CAHALL, Philomena "Phyllis". (nee Sharpshair). Age 87. Passed away on July 19, 2017. Phyllis was born on June 15, 1930, in Norwood, Ohio, to Walter and Clara Sharpshair. Phyllis is known for her open-door hospitality, hard-working, faith-filled feisty spirit. Family was everything to Phyllis. A loving wife to the late Harold Cahall, they raised seven children together in their Fairfield home. Phyllis loved having people in her home, whether it was a holiday, or just a Sunday, she showed hospitality to her entire family who swam, played volleyball, played games, and ate the wonderful food she provided.  Camping, sewing, gardening, baking and helping others was an important part of her life. Her Catholic faith was extremely important to her.  She and her family were very involved at St. Matthias Parish, Forest Park.  She was involved in many ways:  working fish fries, counting money, decorating, choir member, and care ministry.  Before she was unable to drive, she attended Mass daily. Phyllis is survived by; her siblings - Sr. Claire Sharpshair, Lou Sharpshair, and William (Joanne) Sharpshair; her children – Martha (Ken) Lombard, Kenn (Kathy) Cahall, David (Debi) Cahall, Bob Cahall, Jim (Diane) Cahall, Julie (John) Goines); her grandchildren – Lynn Lombard, Karen (Ben) Bultman, Sherri (James) Green, Chad (Jess) Cahall, Lindsey (John) Rakestraw, Alisha (Rob) Drozd, Erin (Jeremy) Nandory, Jenna (Kyle) Clark, Ben (Hailey) Cahall, Phillip Cahall, Jeffrey Flaker, Dr. Ryan Cahall, Sydney Cahall, Andrew Findley, Zaccarrie (Alexa) Goines, Ashley Cahall, Lucas Cahall, Olivia Goines, Megan Findley and Kolby Goines. Also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Phyllis will now be reunited with her parents, her husband, Harold; her daughter, Barbara Findley; her brother, Walter (Buck) Sharpshair; her brother-in-laws, Elsworth and Gaines Cahall; and her sister-in-laws, Jac, Mary and Rosemary. Visitation will be on Friday, July 28, 2017, from 6-8:00 PM, at Vorhis Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246. Additional visitation will be on Saturday, July 29, 2017, from 10-10:30 AM, St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd., Liberty Township, OH 45011. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 at St. Maximilian Kolbe, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association of Cincinnati.
