DOUGLASOrvine (nee Byrd) of Norwood, beloved wife of 65 years of Herman Douglas; devoted mother of Mike (Dee) Douglas, Jeff Douglas, and Craig (Joy) Douglas; cherished grandmother of Sara (Chad) Lehew, Caitlin Douglas, Corporal Sean Douglas (U.S. Army), Allison Douglas, Kelsey Douglas, Haley Douglas, Shane Douglas, and William Douglas and great grandmother of Connor Lehew; dear sister of Nadine (Bill) Murray, Eulene (Jess) Gabbard, Theodore Byrd, and the late Orin (Yvonne) Byrd. Orvine was a longtime resident of Norwood, OH where she was an active member of the South Norwood Church of Christ and a dedicated volunteer for the Norwood Food Closet. She enjoyed gardening, swimming, and her weekly activities with the Norwood Senior Citizens. Passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the age of 84. A visitation will take place at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Road, Norwood on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 11:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
