Nettie Huffman

HUFFMANNettie (nee Helmandollar), a longtime of resident of Springdale, Ohio, died Thursday, February 23, 2012. She celebrated her 104th birthday January 20, 2012 with her family. She was a lifetime student and teacher of the Bible, which she exemplified in her walk with Christ and longtime member of the Tri-County Assembly of God in Fairfield. She and her late husband, the Reverend Arvle Huffman, celebrated 67 years of marriage before his death in 1991. Nettie is survived by her seven children, Larna F. Hovis of Durham NC; Margaret E. Symes of Tyler, TX; Lenzy G. Huffman of Springdale, OH; Ann Hill of Youngsville, NC; Marysue Freeman of Cape Carteret, NC; James Huffman of Merritt Island, FL and John Huffman of Springdale, OH; twelve grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and two sisters, Ruby McCann and Mary Ruth Ball, both of Sidney, Ohio. One grandson is deceased. Friends will be received from 6:00 PM until time of funeral service at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, Ohio. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco, Ohio near Sidney.
