Merwyn H., Sr., beloved husband of 55 years of Joyce (nee Moser) Bergquist; devoted father of Merwyn H. "Chip" (Nancy) Bergquist, Jr. and Ron (Cheryl) Bergquist; loving grandfather of Alex, Justin, Julia, Emma, and Megan Bergquist. Merwyn served in the U.S. Army and retired from Kenner Products in 1999 after 34 1/2 years of service. He was active at Forest Chapel United Methodist Church, was a member of the Forest Park Historical Society, a volunteer for Meals On Wheels, was a soccer coach and Cub Scout Master and leader, and was also on the Forest Park Block Watch and Citizens on Patrol. Passed away on November 26, 2014 at the age of 80. Visitation will take place at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forest Chapel United Methodist Church or to Crossroads Hospice.
