Merideth Baum

BAUMMerideth Joy, age 23 of West Chester, Ohio passed away unexpectedly April 15, 2013. Cherished daughter of Kevin and Ann Baum; loving sisters Emilee (Donovan) Joyner and Elizabeth. Her life was challenging as she braved open heart surgery (age 3), eye surgery (age 4), peritoneal dialysis (age 7), and receiving her Aunt Anita Musgrave's Kidney (age 8). Merideth was strong, compassionate, and highly joyful as her middle name was a testament to the way she addressed her health every day. Merideth attended Lakota East and graduated in 2008. She began attending Indiana Wesleyan University. Beginning fall of 2012 she transferred to Miami University Nursing School because of needing dialysis and another kidney transplant due to kidney failure. She so much loved to become a nurse owed in part to the many nurses and doctors that took good care of her from Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. Merideth loved our Lord and was not ashamed of the Gospel. She built strong bonds with her neighbor friends and girlfriends. She loved her friends and hall mates. We stand amazed at how Merideth kept a positive attitude with all the myriad health conditions, emergency visits, and constant check-ups she had to endure. Many heartfelt thanks go to the Nephrology Department at Cincinnati Children's and Bre Maxson for loving and caring for our precious Merideth. As parents we are grateful to have had the oppurtunity to share in the short life of Merideth. We know of the Hope that will grant us the privelege once again to see her in a new, healthy, and glorified body. Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2013 at Tri-County Baptist Church, 8195 Beckett Road, West Chester, Ohio from 5:00-9:00 PM. Celebration services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:00 AM.
