Maurine Basinger

BASINGERMaurine, beloved daughter of the late Dr. Adam P. Basinger and Martha (Mattie Rhude) Basinger of Blanchester and Terrace Park, a longtime resident of Hyde Park, died April 27, 2011. She is the sister of Howard and Elaine (Alf) Basinger of Montgomery and the late Beatrice Basinger Fordyce, aunt of Howard and Patricia (Leaman), Martha, David, Stephen and Deborah (Miller) Basinger, and the great aunt of Derrick, Christina, Corinne, and Adam Basinger. She also leaves dear friends who were very special in her life and the caring staff at Clermont Nursing Center. Maurine followed a highly successful career with the P. Lorillard Co. and at that time she was the only woman on the public relations staff of this nationwide organization. She would then fulfill a lifelong desire to become a teacher of languages for the Cincinnati Public Schools. Visitation and services will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH on Friday, April 29, 2011 from 6:00 PM until time of service at 7:30 PM . Interment will be at the Blanchester Ohio Cemetery, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11 AM.
