Mary Ryan

RYANMary Ann, age 77, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010. She was born September 12, 1932. Mary Ann was afflicted with encephalitis at 18 months of age and remained an invalid for the rest of her life. At the time, doctors said that she would not live past age 10. The excellent care provided by her parents in their home contributed to her long, happy life. When her parents were no longer able to care for Mary Ann, she was admitted to the Drake Center in July 1989. Mary Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph T. and Isabella Ryan. Dear sister of the late Joseph T. Ryan, Jr. Cherished sister of Kathleen E. Ross (James V.). Precious aunt of Julie Cracolici, Joni Wells, Peggy Chastain, James Ross, John Ross, and Jennifer Nienaber. Great aunt to 13 nieces and nephews. Memorial prayer service at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, Monday, June 28, 2010 at 12 Noon. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
