Mary Fenton

FENTONMary Barbara (nee Brodt), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, 84, passed away on June 21, 2011, at Maple Knoll Retirement Community in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born April 20, 1927 to Ted and Sara Clayton Brodt in West Union, Ohio. Mrs. Fenton was a graduate of the 1948 class of the Bethesda School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was employed by the Fayette County Health Department. Preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Sara Brodt and John and Pearl Prather, brother Bill Brodt, sister Margaret Brodt Hanley, and grandson Paul DeJaynes, Mrs. Fenton is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard, sister Helen Shivner, brother-in-law Herschel Hanley, son Steve Fenton (Cherry), daughter Ann Fenton, grandchildren Cindy DeJaynes, David Fenton, and Casey Ulrich (Jeff), 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on July 9, 2011 at 11:00 at Miami Whitewater United Methodist Church in Harrison, Ohio. Those attending are asked to wear bright cheerful colors as a celebration of Mrs. Fenton's life.
