On July 25, 2024, the world bid farewell to a remarkable soul, Mary Alice Behan. Originating from Norwood, Ohio, Mary's life bloomed into a tapestry woven with love and devotion as she nurtured a cherished family that radiated warmth. Imbued with an appreciation for her surroundings, Mary found solace in creating art and indulged in outdoor sporting activities where she not only forged friendships but also imparted her knowledge of golf to future enthusiasts. Mary's artistic flair extended beyond mere aesthetics; it was reflected in the meticulous details of her craftwork, particularly in the realm of sewing.
An embodiment of whimsical charm, Mary held a special fondness for Halloween, embracing its spirit with unparalleled enthusiasm. Among her many passions was a beloved hobby that she shared with her grandchildren—a series of enchanting books titled "Little Grandma Bean," crafted with love and care by this exceptional grandmother. The heartfelt narratives intertwined with captivating illustrations served as a testament to the profound love Mary had for her family and the joy she found in storytelling.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted family members: Late husband Thomas P Behan, Survived by Teresa Behan, Thomas (Cathy) Behan, Michael (Jude) Behan, Patrick (Mary), and Mary (William) Fischer. Moreover, Mary leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren who will forever carry forward her legacy.
Mary's absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of many. Yet, amidst this sorrow, we find solace in knowing that her spirit will endure through the generations she touched. Her essence will linger on, a gentle reminder of the enduring impact she had on all whose lives she graced.
As we bid farewell to Mary Alice Behan, we do so with heavy hearts but also with gratitude for having known such a remarkable individual. May her memory be a beacon of light guiding us through moments of darkness—a lasting tribute to a life well-lived and profoundly cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
