Martha Elizabeth Schmitz

Martha “Sis” Elizabeth Schmitz (nee Robinson) of Lockland, Ohio passed away Thursday morning, March 30, 2023 at the age of 103.  Martha was born February 3, 1920 in Silver Creek, Kentucky.  She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Schmitz.  Preceding her in death were her parents, Lenora (Cox) and Ernest M. Robinson, also brothers Ernest, Robert, Cecil and Eugene and sister Mattie (Robinson) Boehner.  She is survived by one sister, Patricia (Robinson) Schmidt.  Affectionately known as “Sis”, she was loved and will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, family, and neighbors.  She was a lifelong member of Lockland Church of the Nazarene and worked many years serving children within the Lockland School System.  Visitation is Friday, April 7, 2023, from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, Ohio 45246.  Burial will take place on Monday, April 10, 2023, in Arlington Memorial Gardens 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 at 12:00 PM. Donations may be made to the Lockland Church of the Nazarene, 335 W. Wyoming Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45215, Hospice of Cincinnati, 4310 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242 or an Animal Rescue organization of your choice.
