WILSONMarjorie Louise Wilson (nee Reynolds), 71, passed away December 8, 2011, at Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati Ohio due to complications of leukemia. Services will be held at Northern Hills Fellowship Unitarian Universalist, 460 Fleming Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 10:00 AM.Marjorie was born June 2, 1940 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, to Craig Reynolds and Sophie Dye Reynolds. A spelling bee winner, she graduated from Kent State University in 1962 with a degree in education, and remained active with her beloved Gamma Phi Beta sorority throughout her life.Marjorie enjoyed being a first grade teacher at Jane Hoop School; she later worked as a Child Life specialist at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. She enjoyed working with children so much that she also volunteered as a tutor, a scout leader, and she especially loved teaching Sunday school at Northern Hills Fellowship Unitarian Universalist. She was also a long term volunteer at Valley Interfaith.She loved helping animals. In addition to the many pets to which she gave a home, she fostered homeless pets for most of her adult life, and co-founded the Cincinnati area cat rescue group Purrfect Friends. One of her granddaughters' most vivid memories is how she calmly rescued a terrified cat from a dumpster.Marjorie was, for 38 years, the beloved wife of Ken Wilson (of Turner Construction), cherished mother of Brandi Martin and Tonya Wilson Brothers, and the adored grandmother of Stevie, Hannah and Sophie.
