Luther, beloved husband of the late Maggie (nee Baird) Smiddy; devoted father of Spring Farley and the late Grant Smiddy; loving grandfather of Christian Farley, Ryan Farley, and Sydney Farley; dear brother of Hazel "Azalee" Henry, Paris (Rosalie) Smiddy, Charles (Mildred) Smiddy, and the late Chester (Jean) Smiddy, Willie Smiddy, Henry Smiddy, Evelyn Lay, Frank Smiddy, and Penny Smiddy; son of the late Dewey and Amanda (nee Branum) Smiddy. Passed away on November 13, 2014 at the age of 82. Visitation will take place at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 3-5 PM. Funeral service will be on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery, Montgomery.
