BUSKEN, Chesla Lucille, 67, truly beloved wife of 46 years to Daniel Page Busken, passed away at home peacefully on Friday April 18, 2014. She was born in Salt Lake City Utah, the third of six children, to the late Alma and Chesla (Seely) Patterson. Lucille was the loving Mother of six adoring children, Christian, Brian (Bridie), Daniel (Amanda), cherished and only daughter Sarah, Shawn (Katie) and youngest Stephen. Dear sister to the late Thomas Patterson, Paula Hansen (Kent), the late Scott Patterson (Maxine), Kelly Patterson (Holly) and Rebecca Brubaker (Scott). Dearest Grandmother of Daisie Busken, Gabriel Fridsma, Riley Busken, Melina Busken, Lorenzo Fridsma, Lucy Busken, Henry Busken, Page Busken, Logan Busken and Pierson Busken. Aunt Lucille was loved by her many nieces and nephews. Lucille graduated from Salt Lake City's West High School in the spring of 1964 and graduated from the University of Utah School of Nursing in 1969. She married her sweetheart and loving husband Page in 1968 and soon after began a career as a nurse at Mercy Hospital in Mariemont Ohio, where five of her six children would eventually be born. Lucille was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many church leadership positions Throughout her life. She found great joy in sharing her faith and testimony with all she came in contact. She was especially loved by the youth and children of the church, and was considered the greatest of story-tellers. Always known for her jovial, lively and fun-loving spirit, she loved to surprise others with her often unpredictable acts of playful mischief and unmatched humor. There was never a dull moment, even during times of sadness, as she could brighten any situation in an instant with her contagious spark. Lucille was blessed with the keenest sense of empathy for those who were downtrodden in their lives. She only concerned herself with bringing happiness and a loving reprieve to the broken and weary souls that crossed her path throughout her life. Her tender heart and ability to provide a calming sense of comfort to others was her greatest gift to her six children, all of whom she was so immensely proud. "Mothers always know these things", she kindly reminded her children throughout all phases of their lives. All five of her boys (thanks to her sometimes 'persistent' encouragement) achieved the highest rank of Eagle Scout. She shared a beautiful relationship with her favorite daughter Sarah, who was her closest friend and confidant throughout her life, as only girls can share. But without question, there was no greater sense of true love than what was shared between Lucille and her darling Page. She was the fond recipient of his unending, adoring love and companionship. There exists no greater example in the minds of their six children, than the life-long essence of true love and perfectly matched harmony than that which was demonstrated by the devotion between Page and his eternal love, Lucille. She leaves behind a legacy of the funniest zest for life, the ability to laugh her way through any challenge and her gift of loving all of those that needed to be loved. A Visitation will be held at the Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd, Norwood Ohio, 45212 on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
