Louis Andrews

ANDREWSLouis Andrews, 90, passed away July 5, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty Fritzch Andrews. He is survived by his wife Alice Young Andrews, his children Louis Andrews Jr. (Pat), Linda Marquette-Maidens (Bob), Sally Smith (Charles) and Susan Fortman (Jim), eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.Louis was raised in Cambridge, Ohio and attended Ohio University where he met his wife Betty. His college was interrupted by World War II. He served in Patton's "Hell on Wheels" unit, storming Omaha Beach on D-Day. He was wounded in France and received the Purple Heart.Returning to Ohio University, he received his degree and moved to Madeira to teach and coach. He left education to join his wife's family business, Rebisso Plumbing, in Norwood. After raising his family in Madeira, he moved to Indian Hill where he resided until his death.Visitation is 5:00-7:00 pm, Friday, July 8, 2011 at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Road in Norwood. Services will be at 10:00 am, July 9, 2011 at St. Paul Community United Methodist Church, 8221 Miami Road in Madeira. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the Shriners Burn Institute.
