Lisa impacted an entire community, she was a mentor and role model to countless children, she taught and coached over her 23 years as an elementary teacher in the Norwood School District. Lisa never knew a stranger her infectious laughter and bright smile would light up every room she entered. Her students would run to her upon seeing her and she made sure no child ever felt anything but love. Lisa dedicated her life to helping others. She spent countless hours volunteering as the Vice President of the Norwood Athletic Boosters, and in the words of her husband “Lisa busted her ass”. Even during some of her most ill times she could be found behind a concession stand smiling.
To know Lisa was to love her, if you were lucky enough to be her friend, she was a forever loyal friend to you and if anyone ever messed with you, they would have Lisa to deal with. Lisa was very protective of her students and her friends but when it came to her two boys there was nothing like her momma bear instincts.
Her sons were her world and she never missed a game or any significant moment in their lives. Everyone admired Lisa for her ability to speak her mind, to stand up for what was right, even if it was only right in "her eyes”. Lisa loved watching her Bengals on Sunday ironically after 6 weeks of a losing streak they won their first game the Sunday after she passed. She loved her UC bearcats and of course the Cincinnati Reds “Hotto Votto” but no team was as dear to her heart as her beloved Norwood Indians.
Lisa was born on February 27, 1971 to Ron and Sue Dyer, after 5 blissful years of being an only child, her brother Steve said his world was rocked with a screaming new baby sister. This screaming baby sister would turn out to be the best thing that has ever happened to him. Lisa’s mother said, her feet never touched the ground in the first 5 years of her life because her Cousin Kimberly never put her down. During Lisa’s childhood and teen years, she kept Ron and Sue on their toes being active in softball and cheerleading. After graduating High School she went on to college at Northern Kentucky University for her under graduate degree, then to the University of Cincinnati to receive her master’s degree in education where she taught and mentored children for 23 years.
In 1990, she started dating her best friend Chuck. September 28, 1996 they were married and together they created two beautiful boys, Ryan Michael and Jacob Kyle.
Lisa could be found enjoying life in the following places, the Ragle’s house aka “The Patio”, floating in her pool, at her boys sporting events, her family's lake house, she loved going to the casino aka “The Boat” and shopping was always a favorite past time.
If love could have saved her she would have never been sick.
