Lillian Sciutto

Lillian J Sciutto (Reveri), 92, passed away on December 17, 2016.  Beloved wife of Frank Sciutto, Sr.  Loving mother of Francine Sciutto, Frank (Kathryn) Sciutto, Jr., and Richard Sciutto.  Dear Grandmother of Fred (Lana) Averill, Franklin (Jessica) Sciutto, III, Lea Sciutto, Anthony, and Kayla Sciutto great-grandmother of Abigail Averill and Tegan (Daughter of Lea).  Like so many of her "greatest generation", her eyes were witness to all the good & bad the 20th Century had to offer.  Just as Dad answered the call to defend the free world in that horrible conflict of WW-2, so did mom on the home front as one of America's legion of "Rosie the Riveter's".  She was one of the fortunate few new wives who got the chance to see her husband off; delivering Dad on a cold January morning to the airfield from which he flew over to Europe.  She cried all the way home, prayed unceasingly till the end, and was blessed by our Lord whose loving embrace delivered him back to her. Mom defined grace under pressure and loved her husband, family, and friends with a passion that had no equal.  Her life is forever woven into the tapestry that is this great nation. Visitation will be Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 1:30 PM until time of service at 2:30 PM at the Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, Ohio 45246. In lieu of flowers family asks contributions to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Cincinnati.
