ROY, Larry Junious, of Reading, Ohio, passed away on July 8, 2020 at the age of 64. Born May 27, 1956 in Cincinnati, OH. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Lena Gertrude (Trudy) Ferrell and Junious Roy. Larry grew up in Norwood where he spent many days at Hunter Park (and was part of the Hunter Park gang). He was a great athlete. Larry was recently inducted into the Norwood Hall of Fame for baseball and basketball. Larry attended Cumberland College where he played baseball. After college, Larry continued his love for sports by coaching VYO & CYO basketball, baseball and Purcell Marian girls’ basketball and boys’ baseball. Larry was blessed to marry the love of his life, his high school sweetheart, Kim (Litmer) Roy. Family and friends are everything, Larry would say. The kids, Andrea Nicole (Nikki) (Jamie) Kysar of Williamsburg, KY, Ben (Olesya) of Reading, Andrew (Courtney) of Cleveland, and Tim (Michelle) of Reading thought of Larry as superman and will miss his laugh, hugs and sense of humor. He is survived by his eight grandchildren, Clay, Casey, Cole, Cashtyn, Owen, Grady, Liam, and George. Their Papa was devoted, loving and generous and will be missed every day.
