ABOUSALEH, Kimberly Sue (Wysong), Known as “Kim” to friends and family, was born to Florence and William Wysong on May 22nd 1959, in Cincinnati Ohio. She died at home on July 15th, 2020 surrounded by her family. Throughout her life, Kim was an anchor for her family and provided for those around her. Kim was the youngest of four children. As the daughter of a family of the Masonry, her father a Freemason and a mother a Mason’s Lady, Kim was an active member of Job’s Daughters. Her father, a veteran, ran a local sporting goods supply store and her mother worked for the local board of education which provided her a sense of community that became one of her defining characteristics. Always one for wanderlust, Kim attended multiple universities where she ultimately met her husband and the father of her 4 children, Saleh, at Warren Wilson College. After university she spent a year teaching English in Lebanon, where she birthed her eldest son Salloum. She and Saleh had the remainder of the children, Marwan, Maysoon, and Yazeed at their home in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Kim ultimately raised her children in her childhood home in Norwood, Ohio, where she passed away. She worked a variety of jobs from health insurance administrator to scuba diving instructor. Although she loved adventure and variety, she was grounded in her belief in the importance of family unity. Kim was an anchor for her children and extended family, where she loved unconditionally and had an open-door policy to make sure everyone within her reach had food, clothes, and shelter. Kim loved to be surrounded by colors and smiles. In her final days, Kim struggled to remember what she had for lunch but she could still reach her unshakeable sense of humor to serve comedic relief for her care takers. Her memory will continue to serve as a stable foundation for the remainder of her family. Kim is survived by her son Salloum AbouSaleh and his partner Shannon Russel; her son Marwan AbouSaleh; her daughter Maysoon AbouSaleh; her youngest son Yazeed AbouSaleh; her grandson Riley AbouSaleh; her sister Patricia Wysong Massey; and her brother William Bradley Wysong. Kim is also survived by her significant other, Heather Westich.
