THOMPSON, Kathryn "Kathy" Sue (nee Meents). Age 66. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

Kathy's family meant everything to her. She was the devoted wife of 43 years to John O. Thompson and was the cherished mother to John "Barney" (Jenna) Thompson, Catie Thompson & Timmy (Desiree) Thompson. She was the best grandma "Oma" ever to Aiden, Morgan, Natalya, Grant, Gunner, Layla & Scarlett, and her grandbabies were her world. It was always a lovely day with grandma, and they always made her smile. A dear sister to Janet (the late Bill) Fox, Charlene (the late Dale) Westrich, Beverly (Tom) Smith, the late John (Valerie) Meents, the late Ronald (late Sandy) Meents, the late George Meents, Vivian (Jim) Runk, Barbara (Tom) Seibert, Bill (Ann) Meents, Denise (Paul) Stone, Gary (the late Nancy) Meents, Tom Meents, Mary Meents, and Larry Meents. Kathy is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and so many friends that loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, George & Catherine Meents.

Kathy meant so much to so many and impacted the lives of countless people. She brought so much love, positivity, joy, inspiration, hope, laughter and light, into the hearts of everyone that knew her. Kath had a fun-loving spirit to "be spontaneous" and “have a happy day”. With a clever and positive personality, she was often quick to point out the bright side of a bad situation as a chance to “make a memory". She was unbelievably thoughtful with a kind soul and heart of gold, always willing to rise to the occasion of a need or obstacle. Kathy's intentions, generosity and desires to help and give to others, were nothing short of pure and genuine, asking of nothing in return, ever. Her convictions and morals were rock solid, and were matched only by her faith in God, which guided her life. She was a beautiful example of what it is to be a good person, which will forever be the legacy she leaves behind. Kathy was loved so much and was an extraordinary wife, mom, grandma, sister, friend, and part of this world.

Momma T. will be missed so very much, and she will be in our hearts forever.
