June Ruggles

June Layne Ruggles, 72, of Norwood, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2021. Born January 7, 1949 is preceded in death by her loving parents, Frank and Freda Parr. June is survived by her blessed daughter Michelle "Shelley" Hines and son-in-law David Hines.  Loving grandmother of Josephine “Josey” Layne Hines.  Sister of Nancy L. Hix, aunt of Frankie Hix and great aunt of Ty Hix. She also leaves behind her extended family, her work family and many close friends: John and Mary Jo Hines, Marion Wuebbling, Dan Hines, Sue Freeman (and the whole Freeman family), Sharon Haverland, past and current Jefferson Smurfit/Graphic Packaging/Multi-Color work family members and so many additional family & friends. June raised her daughter Shelley as a single parent with the help of her parents and sister. She worked hard to provide for Shelley giving her the most amazing life and was the best example of a mother. Shelley will forever strive to be just like her. June never met a stranger. She was a kind, caring, giving, empathetic, and was loved by all! She made a difference in people's lives, she did everything she could to make people feel valued.

Her absolute favorite person in the world was her only granddaughter Josey, her “baby-doll”. They had such an unbreakable bond. It was unbelievable to see how their faces lit up when they saw each other. When mentioning the other’s name, they would just smile and say, "she is my favorite"! Heaven gained the most amazing angel and will forever be missed by her family and friends!
