HOLMES, Joyce E. (nee Reach), beloved wife of Denver "Fred" Holmes, Jr., devoted mother of Fred (Susan) Holmes, Wayne (Linda) Holmes, and Walter (Wadida) Holmes; cherished grandmother of Rob (Sharon) Holmes, Ryan Holmes, Crystal (Kevin) Fenster, Barclay Holmes, Brett (Kayla) Holmes, Melissa (Keenan) Arrington, and Atiya Holmes; loving great grandmother of Destiny, Haley, Kieran, Jacob, and Katelyn; dear sister of Barbara (Irv Huening) Dorton, Charlotte (C.J.) Nichols, and the late Walter T. (Peggy) Reach; sister-in-law of Reva (the late Hayward) Bullock, Larry (Mary) Holmes, and the late Everett (Ann) Holmes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stella and Walter Reach, Sr. Passed away on May 12, 2014 at the age of 83. Visitation will take place at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
