KEGLEY, John "Jack" H. Beloved husband of Sallie (nee Ralston) Kegley. Devoted father of Karen Dauer, Diana Kortekamp, and Jackie (James) Lang. Loving grandfather of John (Ashley) Kortekamp; Jennifer (Ryan) Castells; Lauren & Carla Myerly; Victoria (Stephen) Baker; Rachel, Rebecca, Stephanie & Michael Lang. Great grandfather of Audrey & Stella Kortekamp and Isabella & Indiana Castells.
Jack was born in Chicago, IL and moved to Newark, OH where he graduated from Saint Francis de Sales High School, and met his wife Sallie. He served in the U.S. Army. After his service in Korea, he worked for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. He attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, where he earned a degree in business, and a Master's degree in education. He taught at Girl's Town of America, Woodward, Forest Park, and Winton Woods High Schools.
Jack passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, OH 45246. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 17 Farragut Rd., Greenhills, OH 45218. Burial is private. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206.
