John Yacenich

John Yacenich, 85, of Springdale, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Hospice of Cincinnati due to heart failure. He was born on October 9, 1929, to Samual and Mary (nee Stolubs) Yacenich. Mr. Yacenich attended Forest Dale Church of Christ and retired from the B&O Railroad in 1989. He is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Fitzgerald, of Hyde Park, and 1 son, Michael (Susan) Fitzgerald of West Chester; 4 grandchildren, Sean, Todd (Brandy), John and Heather (Steve Holt) Fitzgerald; 4 great-grandchildren, Meara and Roman Fitzgerald and Carlee and Gracie Holt. He was preceded in death by his bride of 51 years, Georgia Lee; son, Edward Fitzgerald; his parents; and a sister, Anna Marquart. Also, survived by 4 nephews, 2 nieces and dear sister-in-law, Janet Kowski. John served in the U.S. Regular Army as Corporal during the Korean Conflict in the 11th Airborne Division.
