John Pennington

John (Skip) Blair Pennington, 61, passed away on March 22, 2023. 

John is survived by his son Jacob Pennington (Aisha); mother, Marlene Ripberger; sisters, Amy Fezzey (Tom), Erin Bidwell (Dave); nieces, Loren Weber (Nick), Marly Ramsey (Sean), Grace Bidwell; nephew, Connor Bidwell; great nieces and a great nephew.

John is preceded in death by his father Dallas Pennington.

John was an intellectual seeker with many interests. He was an Information Technology specialist and enjoyed the successes and challenges of his profession during his 35 year career. John loved his family, cared deeply about the environment, ocean and space exploration and American politics.

John had many feline and canine companions during his lifetime and had a special interest in building and maintaining salt water aquariums. John enjoyed fishing and camping and had great passion for the outdoors.

Services to celebrate John will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
