John "Tom" Moore, 68, passed away on December 26, 2019. Beloved husband of Brenda (nee Noe) Moore of 49 years. Loving father of Tommy (Tara), Annie and (Shane) Stonerook. Dear grandfather of Seth, Elana, Jenna, Kristen, Allie, Taylor and Evan.
A 1969 graduate of Lockland High School, Tom spent the majority of his years living in this tight knit community. Tom married his high school sweetheart, Brenda, in June of 1970. Together they raised two children and were the best of friends.
Tom retired from General Electric in April of 2019 after 40 years of service. Tom was very active in the local 647 UAW serving as union steward for several years.
Tom had many loves in his life and was passionate about many things. He loved pickles, home grown tomatoes, hot sauce, (the hotter the better) Jolly Ranchers, beef jerky and red meat. He hated anything remotely healthy, especially chicken. He was a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, Xavier basketball, Donald Trump, Fox News, Netflix, and Amazon. Tom was a collector of antiques, especially toys. Tom was a very intelligent man who loved to learn, argue, and discuss all things politics. If you could talk politics, you had his full attention.
Tom loved to fish, especially at Williamstown Lake in the summers. He was a master of the grill and made the best beef jerky.
Tom loved his smartphone, and of course Google. Tom recently had his daughter set him up a Twitter account for the sole purpose of following Donald Trump. Tom was a true American and loved his country. Family and friends may visit Monday, December 30, 2019 from 10 AM until time of service at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
