John Lake, Jr.

John M. Lake 88, loving husband of 66 years to Norma Jean (neeBlack), devoted father to John (Gloria), Jim (Roxanne), Joe (Grace Ming Zhu) and Jeff, passed away September 21, 2016.  Grandfather to J.J. (Courtney), Alison, Brittany (Josh) Higgins, Katie, Michael, Nicholas, Emily and Connor.  Predeceased in death by grandson Josh, parents John & Ruby Lake,  brothers Pete and Kenneth, sisters Norma Russell, Jean Stevens, and Peggy Duncan. John was born in Handley, WV, August 22, 1928.  He was a resident of Fairfield, OH, a long time member of Forest Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working in his workshop and made many pieces of furniture for their home and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Forest Chapel UMC, 680 W Sharon Rd., Springdale, OH 45246 on Saturday, September 24, 2016 with visitation From 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial at Crown Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Forest Chapel  UMC or Village Home Health & Hospice, 11275 Springfield Pike, Cincinnati, OH, 45246.
