CLANCY
John J., beloved husband of Dorothy Clancy and the late Maxine Clancy ; devoted father of Kathleen (Thomas) Burch, Eileen (Michael) Glant, Colleen Clancy, Maureen (Kenneth) Amend; loving grandfather of Christopher Burch, Patrick Glant, Maura (Nathaniel) Maxwell, Maxx Kavish, Carly Kavish, Alexandra Amend, and Madeline Amend and great grandfather of Kaleb Hale and Aiden, Isaac, and Owen Maxwell. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served on the USS Sabine during WWII. He also served two terms as president of the Transportation Association and volunteered at the VA and Jewish Hospitals. John entered into eternal life on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the age of 89. Visitation will take place at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45212 on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 5-7 PM. An additional visitation will take place at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 7121 Plainfield Rd., Deer Park, OH 45236 on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 10 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, St. Bernard. Memorials may be made to the Honor Flight Tri-State, 8627 Calumet Way, Cincinnati, OH 45249.
