James "Jim" Metzmeier

Jim (86), passed away April 5th at home surrounded by loving family. He was born in Louisville Ky on July 24, 1931 to Anthony and Norene Riley Metzmeier and was a resident of Springdale, Ohio for 41 years. Dear husband of 63 years to Mary Kinderman Metzmeier. Father of James Jr. (late Debbie), Julie (late Steve) Turner, Lea Ann Wagers, Linda (Wilson) Nix, the late Mark Metzmeier and the late Bruce (Vanessa) Metzmeier. Grandfather to Tony, Laura, Aubree, Christie, Cynthia, Rachel, Adam and Alex.  Great-grandfather to four. Brother to Mary Frances Kernen, Norene Wessel, Roseann (Gordon) Wiebe, the late Bill Metzmeier and the late Mary Jane Metzmeier Burton. Jim was happiest when doing for others and was generous to a fault.  Jim could fix anything and loved working in his yard. He had a quick wit and could come up with a joke or song for every occasion. Donation of body to UC Medical School. Mass of Eternal Rest will be Monday, April 9th at St. Gabriel's, Glendale, Ohio at 11:00 am with visitation from 10:30 to time of Mass.
